Lower Beechmont Village, Beechmont Mountain and Binna Burra are a major part of our quiet community situated in the Gold Coast Hinterland. We are Perched on a ridge between Lamington National Park and Tamborine Mountain. The area was first settled in the 1880's by timber cutters and later by fruit growers and pastoralists.

Lower Beechmont is a short drive from Nerang through Advancetown. It has Laurel Cottage a Garden cafe' restaurant run by locals Karen and Michael Beer, open everyday except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The General Store is run by Dena and is open 7 days a week.

Beechmont State School is a small but highly rated school in Beechmont. The principal David Murphy is well liked and does a fantastic job teaching our children and preparing them for life. Our children attend this school because we feel that the level of teaching is of private school standards. There is a school bus which picks up and drops the children back every day from Beechmont to Lower Beechmont and Binna Burra. There is no high school on the mountain but there is a school bus which runs from the mountain to the Nerang bus exchange.

Lots of things happen on this mountain, we have concerts, markets, paragliding, and hand gliding all kinds of entertainment including live bands. There are so many different events and things to do.

If you drive past the "Old School Site" through the roundabout and take the lovely drive towards Binna Burra, you will come to another amazing hidden paradise - Binna Burra Mountain Lodge and Campsite one of the worlds top eco listed lodges and at 800m above sea level. Binna Burra is an authentic heritage - listed lodge open 7 days a week for breakfast and dinner served in the cliff top dining room with spectacular views of the Coomera Valley, or a cuppa at the Binna Burra Tea House open for coffee and lunch 7 days a week.

The area has so much to offer but in a relaxed way. It's just a peaceful happy area with a lot of wonderful people.
